Growing up listening to soul, Gospel and Jazz, Ruth-Ellen fuses these traditional styles with more contemporary styles of neo-soul and R&B, naturally creating soulful lyrics and jazzy harmonies. These influences have developed into a distinctive sound, called ‘Soft Soul’.
