Born and raised in South London, the soulful singer/songwriter Ruth-Ellen independently pursues her passion for soulful music. Growing up listening to soul, Gospel and Jazz, Ruth-Ellen fuses these traditional styles with more contemporary styles of neo-soul and R&B, naturally creating soulful lyrics and jazzy harmonies. These influences have developed into a distinctive sound, called ‘Soft Soul’.
Ruth-Ellen soon started a residency hosting intimate evenings known as ‘Ruth-Ellen & Friends’ (REAF) - a showcase with open mic. This created a great opportunity to stay connected to her audience. June 2022 will see the release of Ruth-Ellen's visuals for ‘New Day’ directed by Lolly. Ruth has also opened up for Grammy Award Artist Chrisette Michele at the Jazz Cafe. Early on in his career, he was a part of the music collective, ‘Last Night In Paris’, whilst also drawing inspiration from the music he was surrounded by during his time in Ghana and producing artists’ music under the alias, ‘damonoway’. Joshua. James soon found himself working with names such as Kojey Radical and Chew Lips. The collective received attention from the likes of The Guardian, BBC and national radio and press, cementing Last Night In Paris as an influential group in 21st century London. Joshua. James has experienced a lucrative career in a short space of time, travelling around Europe to attend writing camps and working with Danish pop-band, Lukas Graham. Joshua. James’ music has also been played on national radio stations such as Capital Xtra, Reprezent and No Signal. Mettal God is a talented rapper from South London. With much mystery surrounding him, he has managed to collaborate with artists such as female dancehall superstar Spice and has an unreleased track with Sizzla that is set to be released later this year. Mettal God is London based, but originates from the Taino Tribe of Jamaica, South America and the Carribbean.
